Do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to meeting people in real life? Don’t worry. You’re not the only one. In fact, we have a blog post full of tips from 21 marketers for networking as an introvert.

Define your goals and objectives

Knowing what you want to achieve will help you make the most of your time and focus on sessions and activities that align with your interests. Think about what you want to achieve once MozCon is over. What do you want to hear? Apart from spending more than a little. Want to feel more connected? Want an answer to a burning question? Do you want to meet someone in real life? Do you want to have a stash of valuable notes to take away and share with your team?

MozCon gives you the ability to get all of these things. At MozCon, in addition to learning from incredible speakers, you’ll have the chance to mingle with like-minded people during breaks and discover your next software solution at our partner hubs, talk to SEO experts at the Moz Pro, Local, and API booths, and so much more!

Clear your calendar

That meeting can wait! While I don’t want to leave you in the lurch, if your virtual sync can wait, and we know it can, block it from your calendar early. Too often I see people huddled in corners of conference hallways taking calls at events. I know it’s not always possible, but if you can postpone the meeting, go for it because you will feel much more present if you can be fully present at the event.

Even though there are many conferences going on throughout the year, your company, or if you are a freelancer, YOU, have funded the ticket, meals and travel to this event. Be present, be engaged, and be willing to learn.
