The agency was founded by Harvey Schuessler in 1973 as a small business operating out of Schuessler’s restaurants, later opening its first office in 1975.
Over decades, Schuessler Insurance has built a reputation for reliable service and deep community relationships. In 2001, the agency was acquired by Michael Hood, who continued the tradition of personalized service while guiding the company through more than two decades of local growth.
Schuessler Insurance primarily serves individual and business customers with a focus on farm, agricultural and small business insurance in surrounding rural communities. The agency team will remain in place and continue to serve local clients through Inszone Insurance Services’ additional support, infrastructure and market access.
