Board of Directors greater illinois named Brett Gerger Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1. Gerger has served as Big I Illinois director of education and institutional resources since 2019, succeeding Phil Lackman, who is retiring after 31 years with the association.
Christie Osmond will assume the role of Director of Education, and Jennifer Jacobs Has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Gerge will provide overall leadership for the association, including organizational management, strategic planning, business development, fundraising, budget and financial oversight, public relations and coordination between the board of directors and association staff.
Gerger began his 24-year career in the Producer Regulation Division of the Illinois Department of Insurance. He later served as principal associate director, Product Lines and Licensing, with responsibility for the Property and Casualty, Life and Annuity, Health, Producer Regulation and Licensing divisions. He also served as the Illinois Group Insurance Division Manager for the Illinois Central Administration Services Division, overseeing the planning and implementation of policies and operations for the state’s insurance programs, including property, liability and benefits.
